What is GNM course?

General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) is a three-year programme designed to prepare students to work efficiently as members of the healthcare community. This programme encompasses subjects like Nursing Fundamentals, First Aid, Bio-Science, Behavioural Science, Nutrition and Child Health Nursing among much more. With its Internship Programme in the third year, the programme also trains future health professionals to provide effective nursing care and assist the doctors in surgical procedures, and adeptly handle patients during emergencies.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Candidates must pass (10+2) examination from any recognized Board/Council in any stream (Preferably Science) and English with at least 40% in aggregate.
  • Age Between 17 to 35 years as on 31st December, Year of admission.
  • Candidates must pass (10+2) examination from any recognized Board/Council in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English with at least 45% in aggregate (5% relaxation for reserved category).
